026 - Katherine Green - DAYS BY THE BEACH

Much of my work has been inspired by the natural world around me here in Hertfordshire. I love following the seasons and look to capture the flora and fauna with their textures, colours, and the animal characters within the landscape around me. I find nature good for my soul and helps to clear my mind when I feel stressed. Although I started out as a painter, graduating in illustration at Portsmouth University in 1997. Much of my work in recent years has focused more on printmaking for publications, so it was a joy to create my campervan as an oil painting for Sarah. My inspiration comes from happy memories spending days at the beach along the Suffolk coast as a child.
