069 - Beatrice Giacomini - SAMARIVAN
Mixed media on canvas board. I used acrylic paint, acrylic inks, oil pastels and acrylic pens. I wanted to create a sense of magic and fantasy in producing my unique camper van. My colorful Samarivan is coming into an enchanted garden and it’s ready to spread happiness and joy to the world!
I admire enormously the work of Samaritans, such a wonderful charity that offer an incredible support for people suffering with any kind of mental health. I’m so thrilled to be part of this campaign and to spread awareness in mental health. I do hold this cause in my heart as I did suffer with my own mental health. I think that we need to talk more about it as mental health illness is still influenced by taboo, stigma and stereotypes.
Bio
Beatrice is an abstract painter inspired by nature, colour and shape. Her work is colourful, vibrant and energetic. It’s her emotional response to the beauty of the natural world and it expresses feelings and moods. Beatrice follows her intuitions and emotions in choosing colours, shapes and tools. She aims to create a sense of wonder, curiosity and magic through texture, mark making, colour and shape contrast and she allows her work to shape a life of its own. Beatrice approaches her painting in an intuitive and mindfulness way where she becomes totally absorbed in her own unique creative practice.
